SEO: -Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine’s unpaid results – often referred to as “natural”, “organic,” or “earned” results.

There are two types of SEO:-
1)On-page SEO: – On-page SEO means the process of optimizing a page by adding some scripts inside the coding part of a web page.It includes insertion of targeted keyword in the title tag, meta keyword tag, Meta description, URL tags etc.
2)Off-page SEO: – Off-page SEO is a process of the optimizing website without affecting the web page.This process includes web page submission, social bookmarks, backlink generation etc.

The task of on-page SEO is to optimize a web page according to the guidelines of search engines like google, yahoo etc.Search engine optimization is one of the most important factors for the success of any website. There are millions of website, but the websites with good SEO scores are shown on top in search engine results.The factors which are important for on-page SEO are as follows:-

1)Keyword: – keywords are an essential part of SEO.Without Keyword, SEO is nothing.First find out the unique keyword related to your content.Keywords are words only, but for any webmaster, it’s a very important factor.Let’s understand it with my example. when a user will search for a keyword “on-page SEO” on google, it will show him/her results and for this keyword, I want my link to be on the top of that google search.As my content is related to that keyword.First, think about your content and then target the keywords related to your content.


2)Page title: – Now, you have selected you keyword now its time to improve your page title.Insert your targeted keyword in your page title.Many search engines give preference to the title tag.If you are a non-developer then don’t need to worry, I will tell you how to change the page title.
Open your web page in the editor.Look at the coding you will see a title tag written like this.There will a line inside these tags, change the line and save your page. That’s it.

3)Meta keywords tag: -Meta keyword tag is a tag in which you can write many keywords related to your content.Now, google is not giving preference to the keyword tag but there are a lot of search engines which still gives preference to the keyword tag.To add keyword tag add the following codes inside your web page.
Look for the head tag looks like this.Once you will find this then paste this code between the head tag.

4)meta description: – Meta description is a short description about your content and it must be between 150 to 156 characters.It’s also important regarding SEO as this is shown in results downward your links.

5)Heading tags: – Try to use heading tags in your web page.It will also boost your on-page SEO score.Use h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, or h6 tags while writing paragraphs.


6)Word count: – It is up to you and your content how much you want to write you can write in your article.But remember your article must have a minimum of 300 words.As search engines loves to refer articles/web pages having more content.It’s also important to keep in mind while doing on-page SEO.

6)Images with alt attributes: – If you are not using images its good otherwise please add images in your article/web-pages which will increase your keyword density.Use alt attributes and writes your keywords in an alt attribute.

7)check your copy score: – Readability is the ease with which a written text can be understood by a reader. The readability of a particular text depends both on its content (for example, the complexity of its vocabulary and syntax) and on its typography (for example, its font size, line height, and line length). .Test for it and find your score.Your copy Score must be between 60-80%. To improve your copy score, you should write paragraphs with 2-3 sentences only. Small paragraphs are easy to read. It will boost engagement and copy score.

8)keywords inside the content: – Use targeted keywords inside the article copy. Maintain a good keyword density score. Keyword density should be between 1.5%-2.5%.
The keyword density formula is: – (No. of times the keyword appear inside the copy x 100) /total number of words in the copy

9)Word count: – It is important to have at least 300 words in your article or any web page.As I told you earlier that search engines prefer web pages with more content and always give preference to them.Try to have at least 300 words.

10)Try to use keywords in your URLs also.Search engines like google give preference to URL’s and if your keyword is in your URL it will be beneficial for you.Wheater you use keyword inside URL or not, but please don’t use special characters in your URLs.

11) Page load time: – Page load time or page speed means the time taken by a web page while loading in the browser.page speed is also an important factor.All search engines prefer page speed to rank the page. If your page load time is faster, it will prevent bouncing too and will get the good search engine ranking position.

Also, remember to reduce the size of the graphics, videos and images used inside a web page.The server will take less time to display small size file in comparison to large size file. It will secure bandwidth too.

12) Mobile optimization: – Now, search engines generates 35% traffic from the mobile and tablets. The rise of smartphone and tablet industry have given the power to the people to access their internet without opening the laptops and desktops. Search engines have started giving preference to the websites having mobile optimized design. So, either use a responsive template design or make your website responsive.

13) Optimize ad layout, pop-ups, and banners: – Users and search engines both don’t like giant ads and pop-ups on the mobile screen. So, if you are displaying giant ads on your website then please optimize it for mobile users. Google has started penalizing websites from November 2015. Google will throw your website far behind in the search engine ranking. Various websites have lost top rankings in mobile search results due to giant ads and pop-ups that cover the mobile screen.

12)SSL: – SSL is secure socket layer.It’s also an important factor in a google search as now google is giving preference to websites using HTTPS protocol.If you want SSL certificates to ask your hosting provider.It’s also an important factor and will improve your website’s security too.
